What are the American Raiders?

An elite adult-amateur football program that represents the United States in international competition, including the CSIT Amateur Olympics. Volunteer-run, strictly amateur, focused on the world stage.

Is this a professional team?

No. This is strictly amateur. Players cannot hold professional football contracts. It operates as a volunteer program for athletes passionate about the sport and representing their country.

What is CSIT?

The CSIT (Confederation Sportive Internationale du Travail) is an international multi-sport organization that hosts the Amateur Olympics. Over 40 nations participate across various sports, with American football included.

Who can try out?

U.S. citizens or permanent residents, 18 or older, with no active professional contract, willing to travel internationally, able to pass a background check, and committed to demonstrating strong character and sportsmanship.

What positions are open?

All positions. Offense, defense, special teams. If you can compete, there is a spot for you to earn.

Do I need a college football background?

No. We evaluate based on skill, athleticism, football intelligence, and character. Players from college, semi-pro, or adult leagues are welcome.

Is there a tryout fee?

No. Tryouts are free. Once selected, players cover their own travel and equipment costs, but sponsorship support and fundraising opportunities are available.

How do I register?

Email info@americanraiders.com with subject line "Player Registration" and include your full name, age, DOB, position(s) played, football experience, current location, and why you want to join. Coaching staff reviews every submission personally.

When is the next game?

Our international target is the CSIT World Sports Games in Aalborg, Denmark (June 8–13, 2027), the biennial multi-sport flagship known as the Amateur Olympics. Regional tryouts and training lead up to it. Subscribe to our newsletter or follow Facebook for live updates as the roster and the road get locked in.

How can I support the Raiders if I am not a player?

Donate, become a sponsor, volunteer, or share the program on social media. Every contribution (time, money, or attention) moves an athlete closer to the World Stage.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

We are pursuing 501(c)(3) designation. Email us and we will confirm your donation status for the current tax year.

How do I become a sponsor?
